RECL
30JUN, 1014
COL. OFFICE
I beg to acknowledge, with thanks, the letter
from the Department of June the 37th last, and note that two
nurses are required for the Fedical Department of Hong Kong, to
fill the vacancies caused by the expiration of the agreements of
Sisters Anderton and Parkinson.
I am desired by the Committee to say that the matter
is receiving attention, and they hope shortly to recommend to
the Secretary of State suitable candidates to fill these two vacan-
cies, which, they note, are in nudition to the three vacancies
referred to in the letter from the Department of hy the 2nd last,
and for one of which iss . Benson has already been selected.
The Committee much regret to hear that the Principal
Civil Medical Officer has been obliged to report unfavourably regard-
ing the manner in which Sisters Anderton and Parkinson have performed
their duties.
